Ahhh, Spring. The time of shedding horses, blooming flowers, and chirping birds around the stable. Our souls awake as we slowly adjust from winter blues to spring-colored hues. Perhaps you’ve already restocked your wardrobe with chic spring apparel, but now it’s time to revamp your home. Equestrian Stylist has scouted out five great Spring decor ideas to liven up your living space!

Bringing bright flowers inside the home is a springtime luxury, so take advantage of it! Add an equestrian flair to your flowerpoyt by wrapping it in old stirrup leathers, belts, or even reins. Or check out this great Etsy find: a terra cotta pot with a vintage equestrian themed label.

How would you like to wake up to this delightful duvet cover and pillowcase set from Joules? The soft whites contrasted with pastels bring me back to the feeling of a sunny April morning. It is reversible with a horse pattern on one side and a ribbon stripe on the other.

4. Bright Leroy Neiman Posters

Leroy Neiman, well known for his bright colors and fierce racing scenes, stampedes his viewers with movement and excitement. High quality posters of Neiman’s work are available on the web. Check out his works if you want to spruce up a room with bright springtime colors.

5. Art Out of Doors

The riders among us spend time outdoors all year long, but springtime is the time to actually enjoy the weather outside. It’s finally time to soak up the sun and relax on your porch or patio area. Why not dress up the walls of your porch with artwork that is made to survive the elements. This distressed looking canvas from Fenced In Outdoor Art is made to look rustic, but its weather-resistant coating  is strong and durable.

Here at Equestrian Stylist, we’re excited for springtime. We hope you relish the outdoor events of the season- from steeplechases to polo matches and derbies to grand prix events- but don’t forget that your home is where the heart is. Use your creative side to bring a little outdoor color and spirit into your home decor this season!

I love the duvet in #3! However it seems to be unavailable in the US sadly. Do you have any idea where to find it?

We’re in love with it too, Kerry! It seem’s those of us living in the US are out of luck on this one. We found lots of cute duvet covers on their British site, but not a single one was available in the states (not even through a secondary source).
