White on white and gold is a classic staple for styling Summer in the Hamptons. I like to think of “white looks” like Hunter ring style at the Hampton Classic: it’s traditional and classic, and never goes out of style. 
The Look:

Any day during the week at the Hampton Classic is casual-chic with the exception of Sunday. Sunday is the day to really dress to impress and go “all out”. The standard shoes to wear are wedges, flats, or sandals. High and pointy heels are not ideal for walking in the grass. Although sometimes not practical at other horse show grounds, the Hampton Classic has been referred to as the “Glamton” Classic. It seems as if everyone stays pretty clean at this horse show (including the horses!)
In the Summertime I always say, “when in doubt, wear white.” A lace top is feminine, sweet, and exceptionally cool to wear around during a hot summer day in the Hamptons. 
Bringing a tote is great if you have a camera and plan to do some shopping… I always find unique items at the Classic. My suitcase always goes home much more full than when I arrived in New York. A girl’s gotta shop when a girl’s gotta shop… Remember that boys! 😉
