June 1-7: Upperville Horse Show

Stay tuned this weekend as we will be reporting Live on Periscope, Twitter, and Instagram from America’s Oldest Horse Show: Upperville. Steeped in tradition, it Upperville Horse Show consists of a a full seven days, and involves over two thousand horse and rider combinations from young children on ponies to leading Olympic and World Cup riders and horses.

Positioned perfectly under The Oaks in Upperville, Virginia, the showgrounds are located forty miles west of Washington, D.C. in the scenic countryside of Virginia, just around the corner from quaint Middleburg (horse country).

This year, we will be excited to see some Summer trends in and out of the hunter, jumper, and breeding arenas (and maybe some side saddle, too)

Admission to the show is $10 each day. It is the perfect activity for the family to watch many different equestrian sports under the oaks. Shopping, food, and a laid back atmosphere make this show a must-do in the month of June.

The main hunter ring is one of our favorite rings on the “AA” show circuit. With beautiful oak trees as the backdrops, it makes the perfect equestrian’s dream ride.
