Give Back For Special Equestrians just announced newest member Ashley Cagle of Equestrian Stylist to its board of directors. Benefiting therapeutic riding programs for children and adults with physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities, Give Back for Special Equestrians is committed to making a difference.
“It is such an honor to be asked to join such a wonderful organization. I’m so excited to have Give Back as the official charity partner of Equestrianstylist.com, and I can’t wait to start spreading the word about how Give Back uses horses to bring joy to those who are struggling. I know from first hand experience that horses heal, even if it means just spending a day at the barn grooming and bathing horses — horses do something magical to your soul. When I’ve struggled with health challenges in the past, riding was the only activity I could do without experiencing physical pain, so I’m a huge believer in Give Back’s program, ” stated Ashley Cagle.
Give Back for Special Equestrians is gearing up for the August 30th Fundraiser event during the week of the Hampton Classic. Special guest and International equestrian competitor Georgina Bloomberg will be making an appearance for a Summer Soiree. Founders Sissy DeMaria, Isabel Ernst, and Heather Kuhl created Give Back for Special Equestrians to provide scholarships for therapeutic horseback riding and equine assisted therapy for children and veterans with physical and emotional disabilities, while nurturing young equestrians. Give back provides funding to therapeutic riding and equine assisted therapy programs in FL, NC, and NY. Give Back aims to share the joy of horses and horsemanship and benefits of horsepower that heals, with those facing life’s most difficult physical, emotional and mental challenges like autism, cerebral palsy, PTSD, TBIs, and paralysis. Since the founding, Give Back has provided more than $100k in support of special needs equestrians through a number of fundraisers.
