From the Streets to the Stables: Featuring Goode Rider

It’s about time that companies started making comfortable, fashionable and functional riding apparel. I was just recently introduced to the Goode Rider brand. I am highly impressed by the fit of their Signature Breech. As a true ‘Tailored Sportsman’ girl, I am always weary of trying new breeches. But, let me tell you: these are my new favorite schooling breeches (and fashion pants). With embroidered horse bit back pocket detail, they are too much fun! Not only do they look good riding, but also downtown with boots or ballet flats.

Lorna Goode and Kristin Calandra started Goode Rider after their time with Levi Strauss & Co. Coming from a background of fashion design and merchandising paired with a passion for horses and equestrian apparel, these two started a line that is flattering, comfortable, and most importantly stylish.  With the latest performance technology and feminine fit, Goode Rider’s got it.

The Shirt:  Dyer Equestrian Heritage ruffle show shirt in white.  I love the ruffle details and snap collar closure.

The Jacket: Regal Hunt Coat by Goode Rider: a four-way stretch microfiber material that is elegant with antique silver buttons and a satin collar. This riding coat is form fitting with high tech fabric that whisks away perspiration and stains.

The Scarf: Vintage Equestrian printed silk scarf.

Paddock Boots: Ariat

Leather Half Chaps: Ariat.

The horse bit dangle belt loop detail as it adds just a little bit of glam.Goode Rider products also feature a stain stopper technology. “Minnie” my 20 year old Adult Amateur Hunter Dutch Warmblood usually has the typical green hay slime dripping down from her D ring snaffle. With the stain stopper technology by Goode Rider I don’t have to worry about the dreaded drool stains on my breeches (or in the case of unpredictable Florida weather: mud stains).
